Well, Its 2009, and I'm very close to being packed. Yesterday was a bit tough because of all the goodbyes, but it will be ok. I know that I will be back, so I'll see everyone again. Plus I can keep in touch with everyone here and other forms of communications.
But, I'll outline my travel plans. This morning I'm off to Sweden to visit a high school friend. We'll run around the country for 10 days, then we are traveling together to Munich, Germany. We have a mutual friend there, so it will be a small reunion. After spending time in Munich, I'll have the chance to show them Prague. I always love playing tourguide. Next I'll visit Vendy in Fridek Mistek for a couple days before going to Trutnov. It will be wonderful to see all my host families. It was hard to say goodbye when I left after my exchange because I didnt know when I was going to be back. We have plenty to catch up on. Plus its time to brush up on my Czech.
Next I'm spending 4 days in Zambia, Africa with one of my dad's former students. She is like an older sister to me, so I'm really excited to see her again. I also get to help her celebrate her birthday. Any excuse to have a party..... :)
This trip isn't out of the blue. Eventually I will arrive in Australia and start my college life. I have applied to study at the Australian National University. Technically I haven't heard if I have been accepted or not, but I'm confident that things will work out.
I would love to hear from everyone in return! I'll have a dorm address once I get to campus, so just shoot me an email and I would be happy to pass it on. I also have facebook, where I post all my pictures. You can find me on Skype if you like to hear voices. All the best in 2009, and Goodnight.

Hey Bronwyn!
ReplyDeleteHow was your trip on the train to Sweden? Describe meeting up with Anders at the end of the train! What did you go see in Sweden? How was hanging out in your own house? *wink* What did you, Anders and Jeny Ancer do in Germany? Have you reached Praha yet? I know that is a lot of questions.
So far, during my month long vacation, I have gone shopping with mom for a summer-type wardrobe and suits at the Chinook Centre mall in Calgary. It's a great mall! I have also been skiing once in Banff at Sunshine Village. Dad ended up trying to follow me and Joel but took a dead end trail by accident. He tried to cut across runs going through the trees and got stuck in 4 ft deep powder. Since there was nothing to push off of, he had to pull/climb a bit up a baby tree to get out. Halfway through the process, he exerted himself to the point where his inside prescription goggles fogged up so he couldn't see where to move from. He takes off his glasses. That doesn't improve things. He eventually got out, sweating and cursing himself for doing that. That's my story for the day. :) Enjoy your trip!
